Currently ScoutHR has a great opportunity for a Quality Weld Engineer in Mishawaka, IN! Our client develops and builds specialized ground vehicle systems that get the US Armed Services and our allies to and from their missions safely. We are seeking individuals with 3+ years of experience in quality engineering with a focus on metal fabrication parts to join their team ASAP!!

Pay: $75,000 – $90,000/year
Shift: 8:00am – 5:00pm

What you will be doing: 
  • Support Quality Engineering Department through development of product quality standards, process planning, process control, problem solving and Corrective Action. 
  • Ensure process quality meets customer specifications to ensure contractual compliance.  
  • Lead and help coordinate cross-functional problem-solving activities for continuous improvement. 
What we need from you: 
  • Engineer or Welder with formal training or experience in metals fabrication, inspection, and testing, and competent in the use of weld inspection techniques and equipment is desired.
  • Experience with Radiographic Inspection or other NDT methods and inspection standards.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF-16949 required.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Teamcenter, SharePoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office 365 Applications
  • Welding background with AWS Certification for weld inspection preferred.
